Here we are… back where we started, it’s 2021 and we’re still sitting at home. What we all thought would be over this year is still haunting us but at least we have something to look forward too, with next week being London fashion week.although digital, we’re still expecting to witness something great.

From February 19 - 23, London will be hosting it’s virtual fashion week, showcasing around 95 designers, all online via their newly set up streaming services. Fashion week without the QUEUES, without the street style and without the after parties? What can we expect?

SIMILARLY TO last year’s fashion week, were missing shows from some of the house favourites, such as Burberry and Craig Green, but we can look forward to upcoming shows from Xander Zhou, Simone Rocha, Per Götesson and others.

We’re also seeing the return of one of the scenes favourites, Liam Hodges, who decided to cancel his show LASY YEAR in light of the Black Lives Matter protest in order to work on bringing this topic to the surface.

Whilst we might be losing aspects of fashion week we initially thought we couldn’t live without, there is light at the end of the tunnel. With the move to virtual, the LACK OF need for unsustainable, impractical international private flights from industry stars means that fashion week can start to work on its sustainability issues, which we are all aware of. The ability to showcase more underground designers means that designers works are not overshadowed by industry big-timers, and were all for it!

Whilst London is busy with planning for next week, we also have been busy behind the scenes working on our own projects.
