you’ve probably seen the reposts and hashtags already! Virgil Abloh has done it again! he’s created nothing short of a theatrical masterpiece with his newest collection for Louis Vuitton. Here’s our review on this latest collection:
Architectural attire
Whilst most of us worldwide have been confined to the space we call our homes, Virgil takes us on a tour of Paris’ architecture in the form of a sportswear padded bomber jacket. Featuring key landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, the jacket gives us a fresh look as to what wearable ARCHITECTURE might look like in 2021.
Big PIMPIN
we’ve seen this trend pop up in a few of the other a/w 21 shows, but the big pimp coats stole the show at the Louis Vuitton 21 exhibition. Featuring EXAGGERATED shoulders, draped SILHOUETTES and intense colours, we’re digging this trend.
Work from home uniform
logging on 20 mins late in your bathrobe with a cuppa in your left hand and breakfast in your right has become all too familiar, for a lot of us. Virgil is telling us it’s time to dress up and upgrade our tailoring and office wear. Unique pattern cutting paired with strong prints and unorthodox styling was heavily featured in this showcase.
we’re fans of Virgil’s latest work and excited to see how the streets will style these statement looks. Let us know what you think of Louis vuitton’s latest a/w 21 show - by getting involved via instagram.
