Here we are… back where we started. London Fashion Week in all it’s post-covid glory! AW23 FELT LIKE THE FIRST SEASON THAT LFW REGAINED IT’S FORMER STATURE, SHOWCASING NEW AND EXCITING DESIGN TALENT. We witnessed a great showcase by @thecreatives & here are our favourite looks!
ALL VISUALS BY @CAPRI_MCPHERSON
ELEGANCE THROUGHOUT! THE NIGERIAN DESIGNER IS SEEMINGLY INSPIRED BY VERA WANG THROUGH DESIGN WORK THAT NOT ONLY HIGHLIGHTS THE PIECE BUT ALSO THE WEARER. A GRACEFUL PROPOSITION FOR AW23.
We’re SEEING A SELECTION OF READY TO WEAR PIECES BROUGHT FORWARD BY ARCHIVE. BASED IN THE IDEA OF TIMELESS PIECES DESIGNED IN THE PAST & CREATED IN THE FUTURE. THE COLLECTION DID WELL TO SHOWCASE MINIMAL STREETWEAR PIECES THAT ARE FOCUSED IN ATTENTION TO SLIGHT DETAIL.
WE LOVED THE BOLD COLOURS AND DESIGNS BOASTED BY THIS PIECE. HAND-PAINTED ARTWORK TRANSFERRED ONTO FABRIC VIA SUBLIMATION WITH A STRONG SENSE OF IDEAOLOGY. COINED “THE CHILD INSIDE”, THIS COLLECTION CARRIES A STRONG THEME AS WELL AS BEING MADE FROM ORGANICALLY RECYCLED POLYESTER.
2050 NOT 2023. THE USE OF DENSE LEATHERS AND MATERIALS THAT RESEMBLE A LIQUID METAL FEEL TAKE THIS COLLECTION FAR INTO THE FUTURE. WE LOVED THIS ENSEMBLE, EXHIBITING A LIQUID SHINE FINISH. A REAL STATEMENT PIECE.
SLOW FASHION 2023. A COLLECTION THAT DISPLAYS BOLD & BRIGHT COLOURS, SEEMINGLY CREATING HIGH QUALITY KNITWEAR. WE CAN’T WAIT TO SEE WHERE THIS DESIGNER TAKES THIS KNITWEAR CONCEPT!
BOASTING SERIOUS CRAFTSMANSHIP, TRIMINGHAM BRINGS FORTH AN OFFERING OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. “THE LOST FILES” BRINGS FORTH A REDEVELOPMENT OF PREVIOUS SAMPLES, FAVOURITES OR UNFINISHED PIECES, WITH A VARIETY OF CONCEPTS THAT USE REMNANT FABRICS IN A VERY SPECIAL WAY. WE LOVED THIS PIECE AND WE CAN’T WAIT TO SEE IT IN ACTION THIS AUTUMN/WINTER.
AUTUMN WINTER 23 NEVER LOOKED SO EXCITING. SEE YOU NEXT SEASON!
